Some basic info. When one stay in Ward A & B1 (govt hosp), there's NO subsidy.
If S'porean & PR stay in ward Class B2, wil enjoy 65% subsidy & Class C, 80% subsidy.
However, in Jan 2009,
S'porean who earn more than $5,201 will receive 50% subsidy for Class B2 and 65% subsidy for Class C. (means will rec lesser subsidy for high income earners ah)
Those earn $3,200 & below will stil receive full subsidy (65% for Class B2 and 80% for Class C).
If earn in between, then will have gradual subsidies between 50-65% for Class B2 and between 65-80% for Class C.
PRs will be 10% less than s'poreans with same income level.

Means......... MUST buy hospitalisation plan!
My client had slipped disc n had DAY surgery. She stay SGH ward A, cos feel more comfortable with specialised doc... Total Bill is $27,000!!!! Jus 1 day sugery.. Lucky she bought hospital plan from me.. n its total claimable!
Phew... feel really relieve she got this plan..
