Had our spartan incentive today..
all of us is suppose to spend $2250..

So we went merchant court eat buffet..

then went for Spa @ paragon level 6..

The massage is similar to those in batam..

in fact, i think batam 1 is better n much much cheaper la..

they sell some skin products.. so they try to sell us lor..

lucky din buy.. ard $200/bottle.. some vit C thingy..

Since its in paragon...

i definitely must go shop shop...

Met Ya to buy her heels..

i bought 1 too..

This can be worn for gala dinner..

Then i went into ferragamo..

Oh no!..

bought a discounted heels...

from $800+ to $500 only..

Marina Barrage

Went marina Barrage ard 8pm today..
Drive in thru Marina Grove..
its a dam situated at marina..
anyway there's some photo gallery abt s'pore's water history (i think)

Most important is the scenary..
its an overview to see s'pore flyer, suntec etc.. chio...
Maybe its at nite, the wind is strong..
it's like s'pore version of Shanghai 外滩 or HK's Avenue of stars..
where the wind is strong n got very nice view...

Dear intend to bring parents there for dinner n walk walk..
think its a nice place to bring parents/lover for walk walk..

Vancouver sweet memory

The hakone mountain trip reminds me of my vancouver trip in May 2006..

its one of my most fav trip..

We went snow mountain too.. its really fun..The 'floor' is very slippery oh..

We went to the aquarium.. this aquarium is much better than HK n Osaka..
This is the first time i saw sea otter... they like to turn n turn n scratch themselves..
so cute..

This is white whale.. cute hor... we watched whale n dolphin performance...

We also went The Butchart Garden.. very chio... very colourful..

Capilano Suspension Bridge...
everyone crossed the bridge.. only i dare not cross.. scary..

The stream/river is really chio..

Went Seattle premium outlets...
its crazy.. we shop from morning 10am till close shop.. shag.. bought alot! very cheap..
polo ralph, levis, coach etc r very cheap..

The famous happening fish mkt, Pike place.. the sellers throw the fish around n will shout here n there.. but its all out of fun i think.. happening place..

World's 1st starbucks... opened in 1912..

Batam 20-21 jan 2009

Exchange: S$1=7400rupiah..

Harris resort is the usual place we go.. its considered one of the best in batam..

1st stop, we went go kart..

the guys r like super stars where all the gals helped them take pics..

so i mite as well capture all..

While the guys r playing, these babes got nothing to do.. so their boss help them take photo for their shadows... i take their pic again..i feel tat driving my 'xiao bai' (my car) is more fun.. hee..

Nxt we went cable ski...

My man teaching them how to balance for the standing one...

Some ski, some play pool, some jus relax enjoying the sun n breeze...

i've played last time n my hand become super ache so this round din play..
its great experience though.. must try oh..

The scenary is so serene..

Joe fell very far away, so this bike fetch him back.. else he'll swim till xiao..

i was being fetched last time..

its a topless man.. n i'm sitting at the back..

i still rem vividly the feeling on bike on the path back (not the man ah..)

its like 'riding a bike in the small village, small road with grasses'..

like those 80s kampong kind of dating scenes...

so free n relax on bike.. haha..

bought a bottle of pure honey for S$10.

hmm.. duno is it real or syrup..

anyway the person let me taste the one in the pail..

taste abit sour.. I ask MIL is pure honey abit sour. she said yes..

so think i buy real one la..

The pail has real honey comb n dead bees...

then i disturb the monkeys.. they r fierce oh..

Most interesting is we went to a kelong seafood restuarant..

its very very ulu..

there's no ppl eating there.. so quiet till we tot its closed..

Anyway, it really gives ppl the 'staying in kelong' feeling..

all of us curiously looking at the excited fishes...

i'm such a city person tat this is the 1st time i've got this 'kelong' feeling..

feels great n refreshing for split seconds..

the crab is disappointment..

But the 'gong gong' is best man..
very fresh n got natural sweetness.. miss it..

chilli kangkong also best..

this place is rather cheap.. only S$180 for 14 pax..

we had crabs, small prawns, gong gong, calamari, coconut drink, fresh fish, egg, chilli kangkong etc...

then we go sing K...
wa... the chinese songs really super old time..

but kinda bring back childhood/pri/sec sch memory oh..

Nxt day, we went to the busiest shopping mall in batam..
went for body massage...
ard S$13.50 for 1.5hrs full body.. cheap la..
then only left time for lunch n then head back home sweet home..
SG boleh!

first case of year

Yeah.. finally back from Batam yesterday nite..
Till now still haven unpack batam clothings oh..
cos whole day running appt... woodlands, raffles, bedok, tampines.. tired..

Happy today break my egg for 2009!
Today went to do an accident claim, settle underwriting etc..
glad its done before CNY..
My fr also rec his hospitalization claim of $11k.. happy..
alot things to do now oh.. write cases, upload batam pics, unpack bags etc..

Going Batam

Jus finished updating blog n facebk.. its very xiong man.. cos its not very user friendly for loading pics.. need to drag very long if entry is long oh..
finally come back office work today.. hmmm.. lucky manage to meet client tonite..
But tmr going Batam again.. ahh.. back wed nite..
jus realise this Sun is CNY eve oh!
This yr's CNY is so fast neh..

Hope i can hit my LA soon...

Tokyo 10th-14th Jan 2009

Day 1:

We chked out Pru's ANA Hotel and set off to Tokyo.

Tokyo's weather seems colder than osaka.. cos the wind is super strong.. arghhh very cold..

Anyway thx to this Japan Railway pass, which is like our bus pass.. we need not buy any ticket for transport as long as its within the JR line. This pass has to be bought in sg n cost ard S$450! Must thx sandy for the effort to go buy this tix..

We took the famous "Bullet train" from osaka to tokyo, which already cost S$100+ hence buying a JR pass may be more worth it..

OMGosh.. her face is so sharp.. mine is so round now..

Searched very long for the hotel cos lost our way.. shag out cos need to pull lugguage n walk upslope.. But eventually finally found our hotel..

this is a boutique hotel.. its really nice n cosy n sweet.. nxt time if i'm in tokyo again, i'll go this hotel..

Super hungry cos no eat lunch.. so we search around for good food...

ended up in this super yummy ramen place.. ohhh the soup is sooooo nice! esp in windy cold weather..

Tried this.. very nice! sth like papa joe sell one.. inside is custard..

Day 2:

Set off to Hakone where we can see mt fuji... i saw it on train liao.. played with a baby boy... he laughs easily.. haha cute neh..took a ship to the mountain area... this is e one we took.. wind blowing.. super cold again! see how dear n me wrap ourselves... haha funny!

then we took a Rope Way (its cable car ba) to go up e mountain... can see mt fuji oh..Finally reach the mountain.. got snow oh... its so happy here.. This is the famous black egg.. only here hav oh.. think its cooked by the spring.. anyway in the poster, it wrote.. eat one and get 7 yrs longevity.. haha!

it taste like normal egg when its fully cooked..

then its half-boiled, the taste is stronger then normal egg..

Then we had lunch.. walked alot.. n super hungry cos everywhere is full.. they hav this black curry... ok la.. taste like jap curry ba..

Then we cont to climb mountain! shag but Fun Fun Fun!...

The spring on mountain... but not for body.. apparently seems like its for boiling the black egg..

Mount fuji as background... too bad the clouds block out the tip..

time to go down liao..

haha.. dogs again...

Ah... we waited for bus then suddenly it starts snowing abit.. high high! the snow flake is star shape.. if i'm not wrong, every snow flake got different shape one.. At night, we went hot spring!! i've been to taiwan's hot spring.. quite disappointing cos its like an enclosed room with "bathtub" alike thing... n me n dear inside.. boring..

But this round is open area! male at male side, female at female side..

the spring flows from the rock.. keke.. we r naked there.. its an experience!

there's also some jap girls n aunties there.. haha..

Thereafter, we rushed to eat "Shabu shabu".. we really ran and ask around for this famous shabu place.. very shag man.. total we ordered ard 8-10 plates of beef! scary man.. i also ordered many plates of vege.. i like bai cai.. anyway this is buffet so we eat all we can... the soup is plain water only... but there's different kind of sauces for us..

The english speaking waitress helped us scoop the oil! its really alot of oil oh..

Day 3:
Today is Disney day!

there's Disney Sea n Disney Land.. we chose to go Disney Sea cos whole world, there's only Disney Sea n its in Tokyo..
This train is specifically catered for travelling to disney world...

This girl is so cute hor... Watched the musical show "Big Bang Beat".. then i conclude, i dun really like muscial shows.. lucky there's babes dancing.. so i still quite enjoy..

Then we happen to be in time for the outdoor musical performance "Over the Waves".. its really an experience.. wind is blowing strong.. its soooo cold...

i took this pic myself.. haha not bad hor.. everyones concentrating on the performance..

i'm amazed tat they can build Disney sea like a european style town oh... jus like in prague n paris.. there's also middle east style etc...

then we went "Storm Rider".. where we see a storm diffuser.. means it can destroy a storm.. we also sit in a storm simulator.. so so only la...

We specially planned to go disney on mon to avoid the Q.. In order to save time, we din sit down for lunch.. instead, we bought small snacks as lunch while walking... average Q for rides took abt 20 min.. considered fast lor..

Then we procede to "Journey to Centre of the Earth" where we sat on small roller coaster.. haha.. and we came out from the artificial mountain.. quite fun & abit scary la..

Nxt, we go "20,000 leagues under the sea".. basically its a submarine ride.. the submarine is fake la.. haha..

we watched the nxt musical.. "Under the sea".. the performers hang themselves in e air.. story is abt the mermaid..

Dear, darric n sandy went to play roller coaster.. i scared.. din play.. i jus sat down to rest... tired walking..

After tat, we sat at a water boat where they featured "Sindbad's storybook voyage".. its like watching a moving cartoon musical..

Thereafter, there's 3D show on "The magic lamp".. ok la.. abit like magic show..

Then we went disney shop to buy souvenirs.. the biscuit boxes r beautiful.. din buy much cos scared lugguage no space oh..

Actually i wanted to take pic with a guy, a gal n a baby for the whole jap trip.. i've achieved all.. in addition, i also took pic with 2 babes with Full Kimono dressing while inside the Disney sea shop.. keke.. Their winter kimono looks very chio hor...

Last station is the "Tower of Terror".. its a "ghost castle" where we get to experience sitting down free fall... it move to few storeys high then suddenly drop down.. got slight excitement.. not bad la.. must try..

The Finale for Disney Sea is the water performance. there's only 1 performance per day.. after the performance, disney sea is closed for the day.. its abt a dragon (male) in love with a boat (female).. then got water splashing, fire, fireworks etc..

So far in jap we've not eaten sushi... so we went searching for sushi restuarant..

Finally found it.. so far in Jap, we've been walking quite alot looking for makan place oh.. this is moving belt type... the sushi actually taste almost like sg ones.. i expect it to be super nice.. but quite disappointed oh... i must say sushi in sg is very successful oh...

Day 4:

Today left me n dear.. darric n sandy back sg liao..

we went to see his car parts shop... he's excited cos there's alot stuffs there... but end up din buy anything oh..

there is is a 'belt' for tyre for snowy roads... interesting... cos sg wont have one...

Then we went shopping.. i bought this new coat which i've always wanted.. S$80+ leh..

Jap got alot cute little stuffs...

Dinner at 'machine' restuarant... the curry not bad...

I bought a 'wrap arm' thing... keke.. hopefully can make my arm slimmer...

The packets below is interesting.. its bath salts where u can jus lay down in the bath tub and u'll be like exercising.. its like burning fats & really make me perspire after 8-10 mins oh.. cool.. i bought alot alot so nxt time when i'm overseas, i'll use it in bath tub..

Overall its an enjoyable & experiential trip..
I tried hot spring naked at open air under 3-5 degree...

Although we eat alot, we walked really alot alot alot... its really alot of walking.. esp at the mountain in Hakone.. so i din put on weight when i'm back.. lucky!
i enjoyed the most at the mountain.. Few yrs back, I went Vancouver, also went snow mountain.. also love it oh..
However, din really buy much things... cos the stuff r more expensive then in sg..
Some colleagues bought alot of agnes b. stuffs.. cos some are exclusive in japan only
Burberry blue n black label not particularly attractive i think.. so din buy..
Overall me n dear spent ard S$2.2k.. mostly on food n experience

Hotel 4 day 3 nites.. spend ard S$770...

However, I miss s'pore dearly..

miss the hot weather n internet n my room n sg food..
I still think sg is still the best oh..
