Fly kite 15-5-2010

our married welfare gp organised a fly kite outing..
its at west coast park..

My FIRST time flying kite oh...
after 30 yrs.. haha

we had breakfast at the mac..
i din buy kite..
lucky boss got extra..

my kite very chio!
preparing the kite.. need to tie the string..
MUST buy kite of this size..
too small no kick n harder to fly...

today not much wind...
weather hot too...

i smart leh...
1st time fly kite n able to 'tio seh'..
i can fly kite without anyone's help..
need to run abit...
flying kite 15min already shag out liao..
oh... the grass also wet wet... so need to wear slipper oh...

this is boss's son's kite...

MY CONCLUSION

-UOB ONE card is a MUST have…
Charge ur regular premium, HP bill, or anything u need to pay every mth to this card.
Make it exactly $800/mth.. so can get $80 every 3 mths.
Movie at cathay only $6 oh..

-Std Chart Prucard is a MUST have IF u have Pru plans.
Charge misc spending to this card if no special discounts for ur purchase.
Eg buy LV, use std chart card.

-Citibank dividend Good only for drivers..
Go pump Esso.. get 14.5% rebate.. its a lot..
Guess Esso is the only most worth thing..
Else dining (2%) may be can use too..

-POSB Everyday card.. better for starhub ppl, n those who pay utilities
If u always go Watson or Carrefour, then get 3% n 5% respectively.
Other than tat.. nothing much..

P90 Chalet outing 3-5-10

P90 had a chalet at Aranda pasir ris...
chalet cost $240 for 1 day...

chalet was initiated by fion n stella...
we split into 2 gp..
competition to see which gp cooks nicer...

us preparing food...

chin chow with canned lychee n peach...
taste ok la..

Grandma fell..

yesterday 1+am, 2 gu sms me say ah ma fell...
shocked!
ask bro how she fell..
yesterday morning she wana paint the ceiling...
(she ALWAYS paint hse herself...)
She's already 84!
n we always tell her if wana paint, call me/us...

sigh but she dun wana bother us...
so yesterday she stepped on a table which she tot its ok...
it topple n she fell on her left side of body

since dear not in sg..
i intend to stay over Boon lay today...
then afternoon, bro told me she was hospitalised...
scared hell out of me..
tot something major...

yesterday nite everyone went home see her..
(i only goto know in 1+am so din go home)

everyone ask her go see doc, she dun want...
this morning she wana go see family doc...
family doc reject to see her...
he ask her go A&E fast..
so i rush to NUH...
lucky x-ray n scan shows nothing...
no fracture, no broken, no brain clots etc...

phew! such a strong n healthy ah ma...
her in hospital.. eating biscuit n milo..
she got big bruises at face, arms etc..
meantime, left arm no strength to lift... to carry things..
so i declare off few days to stay boon lay take care of her..
at least i can do hsework, massage her etc..

everyone's relieve shes ok...
so thankful she's ok...
she & 2 gu are my most beloved person...

anyway NUH, 6 bedded...
cost $500+ for 1 day!
after govt subsidy.. it $200+!
she go A&E in morning..
admit into bed ard 2pm..
discharge 7pm...

nurse say must be warded more than 8hrs then can use medisave money..
else need to pay cash..
but meanwhile she try to apply from CPF board to pay using medisave..
if cannot, then the final bill will be mailed to us...
then we pay at tat time..

so it is very imp to buy 100% hospitalisation plan...

Formula Drift 24-25 April 2010

ever since dear buy a drift car...
he's into drifting...
good la.. new hobby for him...

went to formula drift...
our 1st time there...

What is drifting?

criteria for getting pts..

point system...
Day 1

Grandstand seats is $47 for 2 days..
drifters goto compete for top 16 to go to nxt day Finals..
their charging speed is ard 120-130 kmph, within 3 seconds, they goto prepare to turn...

the grandstand n start track..

this is the ending corner
see this car's tyre got more smoke..
means the tyre revolve more..
shd have more pts ba...
bumper drop...

the 1st corner where quite a few cars drop their bumper...

its super hot n humid n green hse effect..

open hse..

for ppl to view cars...

drifters also sign autographs..

i love pink so take with a pink car..

different from normal car engine la..

they came from Thailand, NZ, sg, m'sia etc...

sg drifters skill not tat gd..

maybe cos sg no proper place for them to practice..

Day 2-Finals

today i came well prepared...

wear shorts...

put frozen water bottle into a cooler bag..

so today more comfortable..

but still humid n sticky...

Im shock tat its 2 cars drift together...

cos yesterday only 1 car drift...

its harder oh...

need to speed, control steering wheel, need to corner carefully, need to be careful not to knock into the other car....

some car got strategy...

the front car will purposely chiong slower.. then block the behind car which is speeding faster..

end up the behind car goto brake.. n this will affect their cornering..

after the drift..

drivers display themselves...

it is very noisy there...

im surprise got baby there..

not very gd for her ear though..

but she din cry at all despite the noise...

performance on doing the donut...

presenting top 3...

think if got chance, dear wld like to participate oh...

but need to have lots of practice ba...

so far 2 days no rain.. very lucky oh...

also no clash of cars...

they r really gd in controlling their cars oh...
