Day 1:
Reach airport..

We took a 30 min break while on way to hotel..

This is the stop over shop.. hungry oh..

We have to pay at vending machine to order the set we want. then put the ticket at counter & wait for food.. interesting.. its common in jap..

Went for a short shopping spree before the Appreciation dinner.

went to the famous hip area -shinsaibashi.

the jap girls rally know how to make up! all super chio like super model! eyes black black.. slim slim.. weather is so cold but they stil wear super short skirt, some even bare legs-without tights!

Saw this.. the babes are all chio leh.. abit like funeral but they all smiling.. so i think its some tradition ba..

Had the appreciation dinner..

Dun really enjoy cos quite a few dishes are raw..

dun mind raw food.. but dun fancy la..

anyway the there are some performers from osaka whom perform free for us.. haha..

cool..

Kids also play drum.. xiong man.. thumbs up..

Day 2:

Today is the Kyoto trip by co.

This is the Golden Pavilion.. chio hor.. its gold-leaf covered..

Anyway we went from temple to temple...

We had our lunch here.. looks fantastic.. but also raw.. & i dun really like it.. sad..

We made our own toufu.. quite interesting.. but i dun really like the taste leh..

At the restaurant, i noticed tat they have locker for umbrellas.. interesting hor... in fact, alot places have umbrella locker oh.. shoes got lockers.. MRT area also got bag lockers..

Then cont our temple trip...

Bought this green tea powder.. its got slight sweetness.. n there's gold flakes! nice.. so far i cant find it anywhere else in osaka or tokyo..

people make wishes n hang here...

There's a long stretch of shops.. best for shopping n buying local specialty...

there's a shop where we can sample food.. they even provide free green tea leh.. keke..

We went shinsaibashi for dinner..

Dinner at a cosy reataurant.. the stewed chicken heart & gizzard ("gian") is yummy!

After dinner, i cont to try alot of food on the street... aiyo...

noticed tat the restaurants like to put the "animal" on their signboard.. eg.. crab, octopus, fish..Street food.. the crab leg.. yeah..

went into this gambling game room see see..

Day 3:
We went Osaka Castle... its super cold..

During spring, the castle is filled with cherry blossom (above pic-postcard)

Saw 2 dogs.. they r super excited when see us... soooo cute!




Saw students jogging at the castle...

its very cold leh..

Haha! guess wats tat on my forehead?

Its bird shit! haha.. funny hor! there's alot of crow there..

saw Mcdonald selling Mc Pork! i've heard colleague said its nice..

i tried.. really nice leh.. too bad sg dun hav..

Thereafter, we went Osaka Aquarium.. its abit disappointing...

HK Aquarium is cheaper n more fun...

On the way there, we saw this ferris wheel...

Jellyfish is really beautiful! i like.. they r so cute bouncing in water.. got disco jellyfish too..

i love sea/river otter too! they r super cute...

last time went vancouver already saw it.. now saw it again..

they like to keep turning & turning in water.. & they like to sqeeze together like happy family..chk out below's video

This stingray is so smart! its is performing for us.. must see man.. CUTE!

We watched I-Max featuring Mummy @ Aquarium..

ah.. quite boring..

Darric, Sandy, dear & me fall asleep..

must be too tired with all the walking..

went to eat Yummy BBQ beef...

hav to wait oh..

it really very nice!

Hong Kong 3rd-5th Jan 2009

Went HK before but with parents in law.. so din go much places..
went Disneyland HK... dun think its fun..

But this round i can say I really "see" HK.. cos went to quite alot of places..

Temperature ~15-18 Degree.. exchange rate: S$1=HK$5.3

Day 1:
Once reached hotel, me, dear, stella n grace enrol to a gp tour.

its HK$320.

Includes going to wax museum @ the peak, dinner with roasted goose,

then to "Avenue of Stars", thereafter seat in open-top bus to bring us to "女人街".

Think its quite worth it cos got transport so no need to keep walking..

-Of all the wax artifact, only Andy lau's heart really got heart beat. So must go touch it. Its rather amazing they can be made so real...

-To take pic with Jackie chan must pay money oh.

-Enter the "Scary tunnel" in the Wax museum.. Hmm.. so so la..

-Bought Bling bling t-shirts at the museum.. HK$100 (S$19) each

-Tour guide said to put 1 paperbag into a cab's carboot will be charged HK$5. Each paperbag cost HK$5 regardless big or small oh.. interesting..

-There's no mid-nite charge for cab.

-The Avenue of Star is like the Shanghai's 外滩.

Super cold cos of the strong blowing wind..

But me n dear just stroll along the lane... relaxing..

-Sitting in topless bus is super cold too! Like sitting in open boat in Paris..

jus different scenaries..

-There's lots n lots of neon lights board..

i was wondering is it wasting energy oh..

anyway, its an experience oh.. nice city, cool weather..

-Tried sotong, 臭豆腐 at 女人街..

臭豆腐 very crispy outer layer.. nice.. but the chilli sauce is super salty.

sotong very salty, HK food generally quite salty oh.

-Also tried yummy dessert..

Coconut Noodle with extra mango..

Happy to merge with the Xinyi & guys..

Day 2:

Morning, P90 went to search for famous traditional Dim Sum 茶餐厅.

walk super long.. shag man..

its very pack.. we waited ard 15-20 then found a big table for us..

As its Sun, there's alot of maids resting at bridges etc.

they use cardboards to sit oh.. interesting.

Thereafter we went Ocean Park.. its HK$208..

think shoud cater half to 1 day to play the rides oh..

Not bad la.. can go c c..

-played water boat.. ended up we r all wet.. fun! (1st pic is not us.. took it for rememberence..)

See my face when we really ride down.. haha.. funny

If can.. must try..

-I also played turbo drop.. i'm scared but its not as scary as i tot it'll be..

must try!

-there's roller coaster.. but i dare not play oh..

-i tried ferris wheel.. also abit scary leh..

-went underwater world & jellyfish world..

-sat cable car.. very scary when view from top down... so high..

Evening goto go for agency dinner..

then went Lan Gwai Fong.

Maybe its Sun nite, so not much pubs r open..

we manage to find one most happening.. got live singing..

i'm surprised the street is quite small n short...

think our Mohd Sultan street is longer.. took pic with lifen n huiyi :)

A colleague's fr happen to rent a room in Lan Gwai Fong.

so we went up c c.. cool, small n cosy..

at least cost S$3k/mth to rent oh..

cos below is happening place ma..

Day 3:

Going back sg! I love Sg...

Went to eat Dim Sum again.. but this time, its in restaurant..Thereafter went shopping... then my leg super pain.. so i sat in 龟ling gao shop for rest.. the 龟ling gao is nice.. there's no bitter after taste at all.. dun really like the bitter aftertaste.. see my shag eyes.. Finally going back sg liao! I'm happy.. must prepare for Japan trip liaozz...

I'm finally back.. jus touch down Sg 6+pm...
Really tiring...
Sooooo many things to update..

from HK to Osaka, Kyoto to Tokyo..

Anyway, jus back from boss hse..
Played mahjong.. long time no play liao.. overall lost abt $30..
But i'm still happy, cos no chance to play.. no kakis.. so now can play.. happy oh..
